Servers with attitude

My family was in on December 15 ,2018, our server was not very friendly. She smelled like pot. Asked her about another sever and she was short with me. There was no team work at all, work at another cracker barrel. My manager would have at us to treat someone like this. I was in the store at NMB,SC.

Great coustmer service

Independence MO, Going in after 7:00 pm you can tell the store must have had a serious rush, not many clean tables through out the store. As a coustmer I wasn't sure if they were short of staff or not or no one felt like cleaning tables, with that being said the hostess Carmen was separating menus. In the first section there was absolutely NO CLEAN tables, myself and my sister asked to sit up front, Carmen took it upon herself to get the table clean and the floor clean for us to sit down and have dinner, and informed us that she will make sure the waiteress of that table knows that someone is sitting there. To see her jump in and do something that is not part of her duty, ( I don't think it is) not once did she frown nor complain about this is not her job. She made sure that we were able to sit where we had requested, and asked us what would we like to drink. Carmen thank you so much for stepping out of the box and making sure that myself and my sister dinner visit was pleasent. Keep up the great work. I hope that all the tables I saw you clean the waiteress gave you thumbs up for the support. Cracker Barrel you need more employees like Carmen!

Too cold to enjoy the breakfast

Sunday morning october 14, 2018 Greensboro, NC. At the South Elm street restraunt. It was 50 degrees outside when i went into store at 7:45 am and it was 60 inside. I ordered my breakfast and by the time i got it i was shivering. I had asked the fans be turned off (it never happened)' i had had enough i gave my wife the money to pay and i got up and left. I sat in the car waiting for her to come out. While i was waiting 2 ladies went inside and came right back out complaining about how cold it was inside. I usually eat there every Sunday morning but i vow to never step inside cracker barrell again. There was no reason for this the waitress was very apologetic and said i was not the only one who compl as ined

What happened this used to be a 4-star restaurant Me & My lady goes to this restaurant quite frequently twice a week she should become a bit messy so we asked for extra napkins my server comes to me a bit nervous and tell me she can only give us two so I asked what's happening she tells me that the manager is pushing portion control this is ridiculous just for napkins

Not a real good experience.

I ordered 2 holiday dinners on Monday before Thanksgiving for Thanksgiving takeout. When I got there, they had no record of my order. After waiting 30 minutes to start my order over I recieved it. It was very disappointing. There was no gravy on anything as I ask. No dressing. It was oviessly rushed to get me satisfied. The store number was 280 in Martinsburg WV.

I visited the store in Kenosha Wi. Service and food was good. I went to the Cashier to pay for my food and felt I was totally invisible to the first cashier who overlooked me and waited on a "white" male customer who was behind me. I then went to another cashier who was waiting on a "white" female customer. After that customer left and I moved up to be waited on, the cashier left the counter and walked to the back without even acknowledging me standing there. A Trainee at the counter apologized and said she would help me if she could, but she's just a trainee and cannot process my bill. I then asked for the manager who listened with "dull" ears as if he didn't believe me and he then referred me to the retail manager - The retail manager apologized and left the floor to take my money. I will NEVER visit Cracker Barrel again.

How the female manager handle a female Host very unprofessional and childish.

Host was trying to satisfy the customers that the manager had directed the hosts not to seat until the kitchen could catch up. A customer was very upset and wanted to speak to the manager, the host had a hard time to get the manager to come out and when she did she made the host look like she wasn't doing her job after following the manager's direction. The host was trying to calm the customers down, then the manager took the host in the back and the host ended up walking out after being very disrespected by the manager. I have seen this host at this location for years and she has always done a great job accommodating the customer. This is not the first to witness this female manager being rude to the employees. This is the Cracker Barrell on Fields Ertel in Cincinnati OH. This manager does not respect her employees nor does she have the customer first attitude. She is a very poor manager... I will not return back to this location again.. Good luck to the employees that stay under her management.

Terrible food and service.

I was taken to dinner 11-11 at 6pm by friends from Joplin Mo in Owasso. I chose cracker barrel because I knew they liked the food there.

The restaurant was not busy and we were easily seated. The girl came took our order and was gone for sometime and two sides I ordered they were out of so I ordered two more mashed potatoes and lima beans. The food came along with the bread basket. My partners food was fine which was meatloaf and chicken tenders.

I had ordered chicken livers it is one of my favorite things. The livers were like hockey pucks so I thought catsup would help but couldn't get anyones attention. I hailed a waitress from nearby and asked if I could get some catsup. In the mean time I tried the potatoes and they were like glue so when they brought the catsup I asked if I could have another spoon of gravy and when it came it was as thick as the potatoes so all I had for dinner was a corn muffin and lima beans.

I did not complain as I was taken there as a guest. It was my 88th birthday and could have had a free meal at several other resturant's I will never darken your door again I didn't want to upset the one's who took me their so we went to Braums and I had ice cream, So happy f****n birthday to me.

Bad food and dirty atmosphere

We went to Cracker Barrel on 09/20/18. I love Cracker Barrel but was very disappointed this time..We went at 2:30 in the afternoon.

We both ordered the new parmasean encrusted biscuit pot pie.. and side salads. We waited for a while and never received our salads but we did get the so called potpie. I was shocked at the taste , It was like eating something from a can, If I had wanted canned food I could get that at home.

This was suppose to be like home made. Needless to say it was awful..

And then the place was filthy. I dropped something on the floor and when bent to get it there was nothing but filth under the chair looked like old hashbrowns and cheese and it was stuck to my shoes,,nasty nasty..Then I started looking around and the whole room was filthy dirty..I am discussed....

Terribly unorganized Derry N

We waited 2 1\2 hours to be seated We called Monday & told cant make reserve seats. Then people calling in for online reservations while people r waiting forever.finally seated and to wait over 15 minutes for coffee.

Poor service

I went to the dixie hwy valley establishment for thanksgiving. I will never ever ruin my holiday by going there. After waiting an hour we got seated. Ordering they were out of mostly all the sides. The food tasted horrible. I mean horrible.We asked for a refill drink half way thru our meal and it took us 20 minutes after the meal to finally get our pie and our drinks. I asked how do you run out of sides on thanksgiving. Why arent yall prepared for thanksgiving. She said well we had a party of 60 that came in. And i said ya so. Theres was a young black gentleman sitting across from us and never ordered a thing the whole time we were there. Well the waitresses took there turns going over and flirting w him. One by one i watched them all go over and giggle and flirt. So i asked one mam xan i get our drinks and pie please weve waited 20 mins. She said im not your server and turned back to flirt. We paid 35$ for that day. It was HORRIBLE

Very Poor Service cold food Nicohlasville Ky

Rude server. About one half of the tables were empty so they were not busy. Waited over one half hour to get food after ordering. Most of the food was cold or lukewarm. My wife sent beans back because they were COLD. Server was rude and questioned her about being cold instead of taking them back to get hot ones. She did take them back and return with hot ones after making a disgusted face. We did not complain any more we just ate what we had and paid the ticket. We ask to speak to a manager and had to wait about ten more minutes. We told manager about rude server cold food and long wait after ordering. He said he was sorry and they were having a bad night. This is not the first time we have had bad service and cold food at this store that live close to. We work close to the Lexington Cracker Barrel and go there a lot. We have never had a problem of this nature at the Lexington store. The management at the Nicholasville store has a lot of room for improvement.
